- Anand's Fall from balcony - 1998
Anand was born on 7th February 1984. From the day he was born he had not stayed away from Dad or Mum ever unless he was having a sleep over at his friend Dev's place in Wahroonga.
Mithu always worked doing the Financial year ends during my four weeks Christmas breaks and all I did was escort Anand to his Cricket matches, and training at the club or nets practice and Kingsgrove Cricket Academy.
So in January when I was back at work Mithu decided to go with Anand to Singapore on a holiday with her family.
Three nights later I had this real Bad dream that scared the hell out of me.
Anand was playing in the balcony with his cousins and something happened and he went over the balcony from the 24th Floor in my dream. I saw him go over and I snapped out of the dream and sat up in cold sweat. I saw him go over but did not see him land on the ground. What ever that meant.
I went to work and Bob was there making coffee and I quickly told Bob about my dream. He said Ram it just shows how attached you are to your son and the fact that he has never been away from you must be working on your mind. Dont worry about it mate said Bob. Just phone Mithus and you will find out that they are both well. So I quickly grabbed the phone and called Singapore. Mithu was just waking up and seemed fine and told me all her plans for the day. Thank God I thought to myself. Both babu and Mithu were safe.
When Mithu and babu returned to Sydney I was over the moon and ofcourse there were heaps of gifts and scotch bottles for me all the way from Singapore.
Couple of days went by and one morning Mithu said there is something I have to tell you..... I froze and told her not a word..
and said "Dont tell me Babu fell off the verandah"
Mithu looked perplexed and asked me Who told you. I said no body I dreamt it on such and such a night.
She said OMG he almost went over the Balcony not at the apartment but at the club we had gone to for dinner and luckily my brother caught his shirt on time to stop the fall.
Can it get spookier than that I ask ?
