From the Year 2002 after I formed the IIT Global Groups I was heavily involved 24/7 in various sub interest Groups in IIT Global I had created.
In Year 2005, my good friend Samir Kelekar from IIT Bombay brought up the Topic of Suicides in IITs. He was very concerned and believed that Senior Alumni should do something to help distressed IIT students. Samir took it upon himself to create a Yahoo Groups Called "Umang" which had about 35 members and invited me to join and help, which I did. many were concerned Faculty members at IITB and other Senior alumni mostly IITB alumni.
The Group was very active exchanging information and suggestions of what needed to be done. Samir Took it upon Himself to go and talk to IITB Director. He was given the cold shoulder and told to go mind his business. This was in 2005 and the effort fizzled out and even Samir gave up Totally
Believe it or not this Crazy me had this crazy dream in year 2011 six long years later, that I should just create a Blog and capture as much information from media on Suicides in IITs through Google searches and put it out there for the world to see.
I got started the very next day. and located each and every article on Suicides in IITs. Unfortunately Google as a search engine came to life only around 2002 plus early in the century not many news papers were digitised. Any way something is better than nothing was my attitude and what ever info I found I captured in the Blog.
At this stage in 2011 even Samir did not believe it was worth the effort.
In 2020 I can say my Blog has made a huge Impact on Indians at large and has over 390K hits and many journalists have interviewed me and sought my opinion etc before publishing their articles.

I cannot explain what is Going on in my life and why I get these dreams and premonitions and the only Logical explanation is that my Inner Voice and my Subconscious Mind is virtually guiding me and making me do things I never would have contemplated when awake and thinking logically.
